Gaming and Education
The use of games in education is a very interesting topic. I really can't see myself using them in the classroom during instructional time much but I could use them during homeroom as suggested. I think it would be more appealing to the guys than the girls, however. We'll see. For a novice like me, to make my own games would be very time consuming but it might be an avenue for students who are kinesthetic learners.
The most beneficial thing I learned about today was from Katy. louisianabelieves.com looks like a goldmine for CCSS! Thanks, Katy! Also, Excel is something that I have never had much luck with so the extra tips on that should be very helpful.
